Solvent Innovation congratulates Prof. Dr.
Peter Wasserscheid on the receipt of the Leibniz award 2006
Solvent Innovation is proud to announce that its co-founder, Prof. Dr.
Peter Wasserscheid, has received the highest German Scientific Award,
the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize 2006 today.
Professor Wasserscheid will share the price which is endowed with 1.55
Million Euro with Professor Beller of the University of Rostock.
Soon after his habilitation at the RWTH Aachen in 2002, he moved to
the University of Erlangen to become Head of the Institute for Chemical
Reaction Engineering. He has received numerous prices in his scientific
career for his achievements in the development of ionic-liquids-technology,
among them the DECHEMA price of the Max-Buchner-Foundation.
Professor Wasserscheid was co-founder of Solvent Innovation in 1999
and currently acts as our scientific supervisor.
