Solvent Innovation now part of Merck KGaA

Solvent Innovation announced today that Merck KGaA acquired a 100% interest in the company taking effect immediately. Both parties expressed their firm conviction that the combination of two strong forces in the field of ionic liquids will create tremendous opportunities for further profitable growth establishing a new worldwide leader for this revolutionary technology.

The new name will be "Merck Solvent Innovation".
