Obviously, the aim of any supplier of ionic liquids is to deliver good and constant quality of the products they offer. Therefore Solvent Innovation has now established a new quality control system which is based on a broad combination of analytical methods.

The assay itself is determined by HPLC. Ion chromatography is used to determine residual chloride contents as the presence of chloride severely inhibits the catalytic performance in transition-metal-catalyzed reactions. Additionally the pH and the water content of every product and batch is determined.
