The AIMFEE™-technology - a revolution in chemistry

The AIMFEE™- technology is based on a novel class of highly innovative liquid materials - the ionic liquids - and opens up clean and efficient chemical and biochemical processes for the production of biochemicals, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

These liquid salts are liquid at temperatures below 100°C by definition and are composed entirely of ions. Their unique set of tuneable properties includes the lack of any measurable vapour pressure, a non-flammability and a high conductivity, to name just a few of the very interesting properties of ionic liquids. More infos

Historically started as eco-friendly substitutes for volatile organic solvents nowadays they are much more regarded as a new and very versatile class of liquid materials. These liquid materials can be applied as divers as engineering fluid for extraction processes, immobilizing phase for catalysts, lubricants or electrolytes. As extractive media ionic liquids they have excellent solubility properties for organic and inorganic materials.   Catalysts can be easily immobilized in a polar but non coordinating solvent and simplify reactions pathways to biphasic systems. Their non volatility combined with their good lubrication properties makes them ideal lubricants.   Having electrochemical windows greater than 4 V and conductivities up to 30 mS   gives them a high potential for electrochemical application.

Depending on their cation/anion combination ionic liquids offer huge potential to optimize your chemistry and processes by their tuneable, diverse and often unique combination of physicochemical properties.
